120 players including 91 domestic talents, 29 International stars, and three from the Associate Nations will go under the hammer since WPL Franchises are looking to strengthen their teams for the upcoming Women’s Premier League 2025. December 15 is the date set for the WPL 2025 auction in Bengaluru.
Sneh Rana, Lauren Bell, Poonam Yadav, Maia Bouchier, Nadine De Klerk, and Kim Garth are part of the 28 capped players. They have a reserve price of Rs 30 lakh each. Meanwhile, the franchises have increased their budget from Rs 13.5 crore to Rs 15 crore for the current season of 2025.
Sneh Rana along with her base price of Rs 30 lakh will be one of the most attractive players during the auction with Deandra Dottin, who includes a base price of Rs 50 lakh, in contention. Heather Knight from England, on her part, withdrew from the second auction, featuring in the first set with a base price of Rs 50 lakh.
The England bowler Issy Wong, however, is conspicuously absent from the list WPL Player list; the one who has the claim for the first hat-trick in this competition, Leah Tahuhu also from New Zealand.
